a meeting of BWA with GM/Krishnagar was held on 24-10-2011 , variuos issues was discussed in the meeting alongwith service related matters.. like poor infrustructure of CSC/Krishnagar, dispute & consumer grievence & increase of deisconnection of LL & BB due to irregular & delay payment details submission by POST OFFICE , shortage of ADSL modem, reduction of car expenditure, reduction of other expenses etc.

19-10-2011: GSM operators add 6.52 million new subscribers in September, BSNL only 0.45 mn.....as per COAI
In September, Bharti Airtel, the largest GSM player, added 0.94 million users, taking its total subscriber base to 172.78 million, the data released by the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) showed.
It had 27.95 per cent market share at the end of September.
Vodafone Essar, with a 23.45 per cent market share, notched up 0.85 million new subscribers during the month. Its subscriber base reached 144.99 million in September.
Aditya Birla group firm Idea Cellular added 1.74 million users during the month to take its total user base to 100.18 million, while Aircel added 0.60 million customers to take its subscriber base to 59.79 million.
State-owned telecom firms BSNL and MTNL added 0.45 million and 0.03 million new users, respectively, taking their subscriber base to 91.07 million and 5.33 million, respectively.

14-10-2011: Nine months more for BSNL....(Source...FE editorial 12th, OCT)
A serious problem is staring at the government in general and telecom minister Kapil Sibal in particular—a problem that the New Telecom Policy 2011 will not be able to address. Come next June, the state-owned BSNL would not have money to pay salaries to its nearly 2.8 lakh employees, and if the government wants to avert this crisis, it needs to expeditiously draft and clear a voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) for roughly 1 lakh employees of the PSU. The government can do its arithmetic, but back of the envelope calculations show that it would have to shell out around R15,000-18,000 crore to fund this VRS programme. Is it ready to cough up this kind of money? One does not know, but what is certain is that come next June, a bailout would become necessary for the company.
This is the economics of the company—which is not listed and so does not...come out with quarterly results, and its earnings for the fiscal 2010-11 are yet to be officially announced. However, officials say that its net loss for the year stands at R6,384 crore. Add to this a net loss of around R400 crore that the company is understood to have posted in the April-June period of the current fiscal. Since July, the yearly R2,000 crore it used to get from the Universal Service Obligation Fund in lieu of the discontinued access deficit charge has also stopped. This means during the current fiscal the company is losing around R25 crore each day and R750 crore each month!
How is the company, then, still managing operations? The answer is simple: by dipping into its cash and depreciation reserves. But this will also not last long and, therefore, the deadline of June 2012. BSNL had huge cash reserves of around R30,000 crore. However, last year’s...3G and broadband wireless spectrum auction cost it dear. It had to dip into it to pay for them—an exorbitant R18,500 crore. It is now left with some R5,000 crore, which would enable it to last a maximum till June next year.
There isn’t much to expect on the revenue side because, for the last three years, the company’s revenues have been stagnant at around R28,000 crore while its costs—especially wage costs—keep rising. The company’s wage bill is at R12,000 crore and is expected to rise by 10% because of the mandatory revision it has to make each year. Simply put, its wage bill constitutes around 42% of its revenue. In contrast, for private telecom operators, the wage bill is only 5-6% of their total revenues.
Whether it was former telecom minister A Raja or the current minister Kapil Sibal or their predecessors, all of them, time and again, have been mouthing...platitudes about how the company needs to turnaround and everything would be done to achieve that. In reality, with every platitude being mouthed, the company’s performance has only declined. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has also expressed his concern in the past and constituted an expert committee under the chairmanship of former telecom czar Sam Pitroda. As happens in government with regard to PSUs, a revolutionary report was prepared, presented and summarily buried with no action taken.
Recently, a new chairman and managing director was appointed who has been making the right noises, but how much of that would get translated into action and yield result is anybody’s guess, considering the company’s short history. Its mobile market share has been falling and today is below 10%. It was given 3G spectrum two years before competition but has failed to make anything out of it. It has tried to find franchisees to market...its 3G services but failed to find any so far because of the shoddy manner in which its request for proposal was drafted—it still thought BSNL was in a sellers’ market. It hired Boston Consulting Group to restructure its functioning and, according to its recommendations, did alter its functioning by creating service verticals. It today talks about hiving off its tower business to unlock value, which makes sense, though the idea has dawned a trifle late at a time when the tower space itself has become overcrowded, threatening the viability of many. Reliance Infratel and GTL have been looking at buyers for months with no success.
What really will then turnaround BSNL? Well, in the past, as is happening now, noises are again being made that the company would offer VRS, create a cooperative for the surplus employees, become more market-friendly and customer-oriented and market certain services through franchisees. However, none...of these would work, considering that time has run out for such strategies to yield desired results. Today, the gap between it and the competition had widened so much that any of these steps are bound to fail. The core of BSNL staff—the Indian Telecommunication Services personnel—are no doubt a bright lot, but have been trained and equipped for a different era, not today’s competitive telecom service market. Further, till today, they have resisted absorption into the corporation and continue to be government staff. This means that if tomorrow BSNL turns sick, the government will have to post them somewhere else or keep paying their salaries.
There’s only one way the government can save the company and that is by diluting its stake to below 51%. Considering the asset base, spectrum and network of the company, it would be a steal for any private sector company, especially since all the new...licensees who could be potential targets for M&A are tainted and under litigation and investigation.
But this is a bold move. Is the UPA government ready for it? .... FE

29-09-2011: DPC fpr confirmation is formed.........at our SSA...update
DS snatta / krishnagar met DGM/KSH & SDE /HRD regarding confirmation & refund of security money. DGM & SDE/HRD is found attentive & shows sincierity towards our issue. It is revealed that DPC for confirmation is formed under chairmanship of DGM/ Krishnagar alongwith DE/ Admin & SDE/HRD. the committee will hold its meeting within 15-10-2011 as assured by Authority and the confirmation will be issued thereafter very shortly. Sri tapas sarkar, Sayan Goswami, Sukanta Bannerjee has yet not submitted the documents for HR package details like family details , family photo & special report etc. they are requested to submit the same earlier within two or three days otherwise their case may be excluded from first meeting of DPC.

26-09-2011: Some DSLAMs are yet remains inactive dut to fault in transmission end of krishnagar SSA
some days ago we persued GM to rectify the problem in Dakshinpara Exchange DSLAM and after repeated intimation the matter was solved. The DSLAM s of Various area of Krishnagar SSA was full of connectivity , we the association eyes on it and bring it to the mangement and after continue persuation the matter was solved. Recently it is found that some exchange DSLAMs are yet to be activated by transmission end an these are idol sicne a long , Kaliganj/ under Bethuadahari SDCA is such a exchange where a DSLAM is kept idol for along although some applicants are waiting for Broadband coonection including some Govt. connection, then we came to know that due to fault in transmission end this DSLAM are kept idol for along. this is why BSNL is not returning in track, We want to know when the management /officers will come out of deep sleep even at the time of crisis of BSNL? When managemnt of the SSA will itself sufficient to realize the reality?

24-09-2011: Enough is enough , now the " ITS" officers who are on deputation in BSNL like unlimited period should not be kept in dual mode but Govt should clear these dual mode of ITS.
We the employees of BSNL are suffering from severe pain of financial paralysis of BSNL when a need of cuttlement of the faciliteis of these below cadre employees are being seized then it should be our Hon"ble Govt , the owner of the company to cut the dual mode of those ITSs officers and the pain of BSNL should be transferred to them also. Now the DOT issued calling of option for absorption of ITS by 25-11-2011, now we want to see the end.

the ITS officers are called by DOT for absorption in BSNL /MTNL and asked them to submit their option form within 08-11-2011 and this should be reached to DOT within 25-11-2011.

16-09-2011: why the unabsorbed " ITS" officers are not being calculated as burden of BSNL?
ITS officers are yet not wholly absorbed although they are getting the full benefit of central Govt and BSNL both. when 1 lakh below level employees are burden of BSNL , then why BSNL need these officers whose inerest is not linked with BSNL but the alarming is that they are the policy maker of BSNL, they are enjoying the benefit of BSNL but they are not linked with BSNL & they will not suffer when BSNL & its emlpoyees are suffering from the financial crisis. If these header of BSNL are not slashed from BSNL , BSNL will not take the headway of telecom. Govt. should think of it and so called well established union & association should move for the cause.

15-09-2011: Finance ministry object to the proposed 20,000 crore national optic fibre broadband network being implemented by BSNL and said to entrust both Private and public sector firms for the work but why? and who are the respnsible for paralysing BSNL?
Finance ministry had objected to allot the 20, 000 crore project to BSNL only and said that the private players are to be included for the project through competitive bidding.

The CPI and Trinamool Congress today took up the issue of non-payment of salaries to Air India employees with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and said they have been given the assurance that dues for the past two months would be paid in the next three-four days.
CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta, who met the Prime Minister in Parliament House over the issue, said, "In my presence, he called (Civil Aviation Minister Vayalar) Ravi who confirmed that two months wage and four months PLI have been defaulted. And within three to four days, two months salary and one month PLI would be paid".
Dasgupta, who is also the General Secretary of the AITUC, said he told the Prime Minister "it is a matter of national shame that 31,000 workers of the national carrier have not been paid wages for last two months and Productivity Linked Incentives, have been defaulted for four months."
"I have no complaint against you (PM), but that you don't act decisively. Prime Minister should act decisively and not merely as a post office. Let us know what happens. The PM wanted 24 hours from me. So I am going to meet him again at 12'O clock tomorrow", the CPI leader said.
MPs of the Trinamool Congress, the second largest constituent in the ruling UPA, also drew the government's attention towards the issue, demanding that the salaries should be paid "as quickly as possible".
Trinamool MPs, Kalyan Banerjee and Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, and SUCI's Tarun Mandal said it was a matter of concern that the Air India employees have not got their salaries for last three months.
Dastidar said party chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had asked them to bring the matter to the government's notice by raising it in the House.

as per website of NFTE, it is understood that ultimately BSNL planned to curtailment of allowances like medical allowance without voucher, leave encashment,etc...... to ensure the financial viability...... it is nothing to embarrassed because it is sure to be happened.....but question iis different........that why the ITSs are being given Blackberry sets..... is there any plan of BSNL to withdraw it? We condemn if the attempt be implemented.....We protest this arbritrariness.......GOVT. is the whole owner of BSNL......GOVT has to think that curtailment of salary is not the remedy of the disease of BSNL but GOVT has to review the shortsigthedness & ineffeicency of policy maker.... they should be punished.......We and our future should not be curbed......if BSNL is having Excess employees and they should be sorted out, then we think the ITSs who are on deputation in BSNL & not absorbed in BSNL, then these ITSs are also the burden of BSNL and they should be reptriated to DOT. Huge corruption & bad policy are the cause and we are not responsible for this ....

Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has reportedly scrapped state-run telecom operator BSNL’s proposal to cut down its workforce by 21,000 citing the number as too low considering the financial burden DoT has asked BSNL to formulate a revised plan for offloading its workforce through schemes such as voluntary retirement scheme (VRS). The department which has been reviewing the performance of the loss-making public sector unit (PSU) is of the view that BSNL needs to slash its workforce by about 1,00,000, as suggested by Sam Pitroda reports stated. The move, reports added, is part of the government’s initiatives to revive the telco which is struggling to survive in the industry due to high employee cost, declining revenues and low tariffs. The PSU has an employee base of 2,80,000. According to reports, BSNL’s sister concern MTNL, has asked DoT to clear a VRS plan that would be offered to over 15,000 employees out of the total 45,000. After the company’s board gave it nod to the plan, MTNL had asked DoT to help them financially – Rs. 2,000-3,000 crore to implement the retirement scheme. The state-run telco has an employee base of about 45,000. Reports further added that BSNL will have to make a one time payment of about Rs. 40 – 50 bn for its VRS scheme, for which DoT will support it financially.

Freinds, we the INDIANS do believe in the democracy and we have our well established democracy in the country. So where is the problem that brought a simpler one to be the " SAVIOUR Of NATION" and how the man started to fight ? Now the politicians are saying to save the legal parliamentary democracy when a random shout in country began, So you ask the so called politician " Why the politician did not raise the demand before the " ANNA " raise the voice of " LOKPAL"? Do they missed the point ? Do they failed to feel the pulse of the people of " INDIA" when the INDIAN are feeling insecured with corruption ? Scam after scams are found but no politicians are found first to say before " ANNA" about " RTI " & "LOKPAL". We are shamed with the polity by which our voice like " ANNA" is clogged by an irresponsible comments. freinds democracy is established when the people are asking the accountability of the Govt, peoples are taking part in the applicability of the Govt. We think parliamentrian should happy with this. how unfortunate we are that they are charging " ANNA" as corrupt one? Freinds ask them " Why ANNA needed to get hunger strike for a right of people like 'RTI ACT'? All it is because the good polity is being overlapped by the bad polity. "ANNA" is not saying to bypass parliamentary system. Ask the policians who are seemed to be more sensitive to parliament rather than Country" Do ANNA intend to introduce the bill in Parliament or in RAMLILA MAIDAN ? Such participation in law making by the people of a country enriched democracy & enlighten the glory of parliamentry system but als we can not forget the credibility of them who disrepute by the 'BUNDLES OF NOTE' in Parliament. Yet we hope the good politician are very sensitive to country and they will recognise the need of the hour & will appreciate peoples like ANNA.........

24-08-2011: more reduction in pay............as formulated in revised medical reimbursement scheme...
pay of the direct recruit ees after 2007 batches will further going to be reduced as per revised formulation of medical reimbursement scheme without voucher . in previous qurter we got 2430/- but it will be only 2230/- by next slot. This is the effect of not having the 30% fitment or lower Multip[lication factor in pay revision. you will see the reduction hence forth will be continued as and when such orders/ modification of any allowance be issued.

BSNL management has failed to submit its reply once again in the Hon. CAT. on 17-08-2011. Hon Judge has taken serious note of it and has given BSNL one last chance to submit its reply on 22-09-2011.

05-08-2011: We shall protest with full strength against the comment of Div Secy BSNLEU
We are committed to save our cadre and as well as BSNL. All along the level of BSNL knows that the Direct Recruitees are now the back bone of BSNL and of course it is because serving honestly & cordially to SAVE BSNL. But alas! it is our ill luck that our Majorioty union( BSNLEU) are not ready to accept this veiws because they have the only calculator of "VOTE" for any consideration and thus these DRTTAs are not being calculated on their Honesty, Loyalty, panctuality, fraternity and dedication to the service of BSNL to SAVE BSNL. We are embarrassed................
But freinds mind that we are enriched with " Honesty, Loyalty, panctuality, fraternity and dedication " So we dont care...............just we should be aware................

04-08-2011: "INSULT" of BSNLEU towards Direct Recruit TTAs
In the meeting with GM / Krishnagar with US, the Secretary BSNLEU/Krishnagar unexpectedly insulted the category of DRTTAs when Secy SNATTA/Krishnagar expressing the devotion of DRTTAs towards BSNL. We protest these attitude of responsible person of a recognized union. These are the attitude of BSNLEU towards DRTTAs and by these way we and our future is being paralysed day after day......we should be united more and more.........detail will be uploaded later.
04-08-2011: Bifurcation of Transmission.................
As per meeting called by GMT /KSH for the " bifurcation Order of Krishnagar Transmission Section". we protest for the bifurcation as a huge expendituire will be incurred by these SSA and as per the order of bifurcation there is no fruit for the purpose of development. So why these bifurcation is required?
